Aloo Paratha

Ingredients:

Wheat flour – 1 cup

Water – ½ cup

Potatoes – 2 nos.

Idaho spuds (mashed potatoes) – ½ cup

Green chili – 2 nos.

Coriander – 3 tsp.

Cumin seeds – ½ tsp

Salt – ½ tsp

Procedure:

·       First Prepare the dough for making parathas.In a bowl take wheat flour,add water to this and knead to a soft little sticky dough.

Note: If the dough is hard you won’t get soft parathas.



·       

            Boil the potatoes and mash them with a potato masher or with a ladle.

·         Now add the Idaho spuds,salt,chopped green chili,coriander and mix them well.




·         Start rolling out the chapathis and make small balls of the potato stuffing.



·         Now stuff the potato mixture into the chapathi and make it as a dumpling.

·         Let them rest for 2mins.

  Dust the dumplings with wheat flour and start rolling with the rolling pins into a nice round shape.





·         In a heated tawa start frying the parathas by applying little oil on both sides using a pastry brush.



·         Yummy hot parathas are ready to be served with curd and pickle.
