Tomato Thokku

Ingredients:

Tomato – 5 nos.

Red chili powder – 1 tsp

Salt – ½ tsp.

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp

Gingely oil – 4 tsp.

Asafoetida – pinch

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp

Fenugreek – ½ tsp

Procedure:

·        Roast fenugreek in a dry heated pan.cool off then grind in a mixer.

·         Chop the tomatoes into small pieces.

·         In a heated pan add oil,asafoetida,mustard seeds,turmeric powder.Once the mustard seeds crack add the tomatoes cook for 10 mins until the tomatoes mashes completely.




·         Now add red chili powder,salt,fenugreek powder ground and cook for another 2 mins in a low flame.


·         Remove from heat and serve with your favourite chapathi, dosa,idli…..
