Spicy Kolukattai



Ingredients:

Urad dal – ½ cup

Channa dal – 3 tsp

Red chili – 3 nos.

Asafoetida - pinch

Salt – 1 tsp

(For outer dough refer to sweet kolukattai recipe)

Procedure:

   Soak the urad dal,channa dal together for 2 hrs.

    Grind the above mixture along with asafoetida,red chili  in a mixer to a coarsely.

     Now make small round balls with the above ground mixture  and steam in idli plate for 7 mins.


     You can just serve it as such or you can stuff this inside the rice dough(in my sweet kolukattai recipe).Steam for another 7 mins and serve.
