Kuzhi Paniyaram


Ingredients:

Idli Rice – 1 cup

Sona Masoori  - 1 cup

Urad dal – 1/2 cup

Green Chili – 5 nos.

Curry leaves – 6 nos.

Black pepper – 1 tsp.

Salt – 1 tsp.

Oil for frying.

Procedure:

Soak Idli rice with sona masoori and urad dal separately for 3 hrs.

Now in a wet grinder grind urad dal until it becomes fluffy and transfer it to a container.

Now add the rice to the wet grinder grind until it becomes a fine batter.

Now transfer the rice to the urad dal container, add salt and mix well.


Allow the batter to ferment for about 5 hrs.

Chop the chili, curry leaves and add it to the batter. Now add black pepper also to it.



Take the Paniyaram pan, heat it by adding little oil into each holes and pour the batter into them.



Fry for 2 mins on each side by turning them and remove from heat once they turn golden brown.




Serve hot with your favorite chutney.
