Rava Idli / Sooji Idli


Ingredients:

Sooji or rava – 1 and ½ cup

Yougurt – ½ cup

Salt – ½ tsp.

Ginger  - ½ tsp.

Curry leaves

Urad dal – 2 tsp.

Cashews - 1 tsp.

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.

Eno fruit salt – ½ tsp.

Oil – 2 tsp.

Procedure:

In a large bowl mix the sooji with yogurt and salt.

In a heated  add oil,mustard seeds, curry leaves,urad dal,cashews,ginger and fry until golden brown. add this to the sooji batter, mix well.




In the meantime heat the idli vessel or pressure cooker until the steam comes(ready for the ildlis to go in)

Now grease the idli plates with oil.


Now add the fruit salt to the sooji batter and mix until its fluffy.

Now immediately pour the batter to the idli plates and steam for 10 mins. (once the fruit salt is added immediately you should transfer to idli plates and steam them.)




Yummy rava idlis are ready to be served.
