Ingredients:
Idli Rice – 11/4 cup
Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp.
Red Chili or Mor
Milagai – 4 nos.
Curry leaves - 5 nos.
Yogurt (Soured) – ½ cup
Asafoetida – 1 Pinch
Salt – ½ tsp.
Oil - ¼ cup
Procedure:
· Soak the idli rice for 3 hrs and grind
in a wet grinder to a fine batter. Now add yogurt, asafoetida, salt to the batter
mix well.
· In a pan heat the oil add mustard
seeds, Red chili & Curry leaves.Once mustard seeds crack, add the batter mixture and nicely
roast on a medium flame till it comes together.Yummy Morkali is ready.
·
Now transfer the morkali to a plate
greased with oil and cut into pieces.
· It appears like a Mor kali cake(Nice
shape).
Note: Instead
of Idli rice you can use raw rice flour without grinding and make the Mor kali instantly but it wont give you proper shape. It requires excess oil as well.
