Puli Aval / Spicy Poha

Ingredients:

Aval / Poha – 1 and ½ cup

Tamarind – lemon size

Red chili – 3 nos.

Curry leaves

Oil – 3tsp.

Turmeric powder – ½ tsp.

Peanuts – 3 tsp.

Mustard seeds – ½ tsp.

Urad dal – 1 tsp.

Salt – ½ tsp.

Procedure:

Soak the tamarind for 1 hr. Extract the juice and transfer it to a clean bowl.

Now add the poha let it soak for 15 mins.



In a heated pan add oil,mustard seeds,urad dal,red chili, curry leaves,peanuts,turmeric powder and fry for about 3 mins in a medium flame.




Now add the poha to the pan and cook for about 3 mins in a low flame.



Remove from heat and serve hot. Yummy puli aval is ready.
