Kara Vadai - Spicy Vada

Ingredients:

Toor dal -1/2 cup

Channa dal – ½ cup

Dosa batter – ½ cup

Red chili – 5 nos.

Curry leaves- 5 nos.

Asafetida – 1 pinch

Oil for frying

Procedure:

Soak the Toor Dal and Channa dal for 1 hr.

In a mixer grind toor dal,channa dal,red chili and asafoetida coarsely.





Now add the dosa batter,curry leaves to the mixture.Now start making the balls and fry them in the heated oil.



Yummy Kara vadai is ready to be served.

Nice idea...did not know I can do this with my left over dosa batter...it will be nice item for kids lunch box also.
